Who will lead the course?
Giulia Menegatti
She holds a degree in International Studies and a Master's in Advanced Migration Studies. She worked with different NGOs abroad, in Mexico and Malta, where she implemented projects to support and protect migrant populations. Since 2017, she has been with INTERSOS, initially working as a Project Manager and currently as a Protection Specialist. In her experience with INTERSOS, she primarily supported the Italy Mission, but also contributed to the Niger and Moldova missions.

What will we do during the course?

Learn how to develop a Protection Response in emergencies with the community-based approach, understanding what Case Management is and how it works.

Learn from real life experiences, case studies and practices implemented by colleagues in the field, as well as the presence of a "practice the learning" session at eh end of the course.

The course includes different talks from colleagues abroad, in order to show better the various spectrum of the Protection, making the course suitable for those who want specialize in this area.

Graduates, humanitarian workers already operating in the sector, humanitarian workers that wish to operate in the protection sector.
Requirements
There are no specific requirements to enroll this course however a basic knowledge of the humanitarian system is desirable (either by studies or field experience). Parts of the course and most of the literature used in this course will be in English and therefore a good knowledge of the language is required.

Certificate of attendance issued by INTERSOS Lab Srl Training center (minimum attendance of 80%)
